Although there are no active facilities on the property, ALH continues an onsite presence to maintain its commitment to protecting human health and the environment at the site. This includes fulfilling environmental compliance property maintenance obligations.
Previous industrial use of the property resulted in localized areas of environmental concern which have been addressed by implementing a combination of soil removal, capping and risk management measures. The MECP accepted a risk assessment for the ALH property and issued a Director’s Order in October 2020 that describes the mitigation measures and conditions required to be met by the landowner.
